JZA Architecture Designed Inglewood Apartment Community in Partnership with TRG Investments Begins Construction in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA - Multidisciplinary, Los Angeles-based architecture and design firm JZA Architecture in partnership with Developer, TRG Investments are pleased to announce that construction has begun on a 10-unit apartment building located at 10928 South Inglewood Avenue in Inglewood, California.

As the demand for workforce housing in the Greater Los Angeles area continues to rise, the Development Team utilized California’s SB 35 statute to streamline approvals for the appropriate permits to build. The statute offers an expedited, ministerial review process for qualifying multifamily residential projects that meet specific guidelines within the General Plan. The new project is located within an existing low-scale residential neighborhood and benefits from close proximity to new developments such as SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome, the Forum, and LAX International Airport.

Spanning three vertical stories, the project features a mix of six, two-bedroom units and four, one-bedroom units well-suited to the local workforce community. JZA designed the project as a podium-type structure with a private parking garage on the ground level. The design implements two different tones for the front facade to provide a contrast between the building volumes. The complex’s warm-toned wood cladding, oriented vertically along the facade, was implemented to enhance the curb appeal in the surrounding neighborhood.

Construction is slated for completion by the first quarter of 2024.
